GPS & IoT Vehicle Connectivity

We integrate GPS and IoT devices with motorcycle platforms so location, connectivity and supported vehicle data can be used by the operations team.

VEHICLE CONNECTIVITY

A reliable IoT installation has to solve communication, power consumption and vehicle integration—not just GPS location.

Device protocol, power requirements, motorcycle electronics and field connectivity all need to be evaluated together.

01

GPS Location

Coordinates received from the device are linked to the vehicle record together with timestamp information.

02

Mobile Connectivity

Data is exchanged over 4G/LTE or the connection method supported by the device, while loss of connectivity can be monitored separately.

03

Telemetry

Ignition, movement, power and other status data can be brought into operations screens where the device protocol provides it.

04

Remote Commands

With compatible hardware and a secure command path, remote lock, ignition or auxiliary-output scenarios can be developed.

RELIABLE FIELD OPERATION

A good device can still fail in the field if power and connectivity are not designed correctly.

✓Location dataLocation packets are processed with timestamps so delayed data is not presented as a current vehicle position.
✓Connectivity statusLast communication time is monitored so offline vehicles can be identified by the operations team.
✓Movement and alarm eventsWhere supported, unauthorized movement or other device events can trigger server-side operational alerts.
✓Power managementSleep consumption, the motorcycle battery and any auxiliary battery/charging design are calculated around the vehicle type.
✓Command securityRemote commands are checked server-side against vehicle state and user permissions.
✓Device protocolExisting TCP, HTTP, MQTT or manufacturer API interfaces are reviewed to determine the correct integration method.

Screens are representative UI presentations. Final feature scope depends on project, vehicle and hardware compatibility.

POWER ARCHITECTURE FOR GASOLINE MOTORCYCLES

For vehicles left in the field for weeks, standby consumption is part of the system design.

On gasoline motorcycles, an IoT device that continuously drains the starter battery can eventually leave the vehicle unable to start. Real sleep consumption and charging behavior therefore need to be measured.

Depending on the project, controlled power from the main battery, a separate auxiliary battery or a charging architecture active during riding may be considered. The correct option depends on both vehicle and device.

If you already have GPS hardware, we first review protocol access, remote-command support and power behavior. Compatible devices can often be integrated without replacement.

REVIEW THE VEHICLE AND DEVICE TOGETHER

Share the motorcycle and IoT device you use and we can evaluate the connectivity and power architecture.

If protocol or API documentation is available, we can define the integration scope more quickly.
